- 14/10: Project A
Results for late/extended submissions are available now.
- 13/10: The deadline for
Project B submission has been extended! The new deadline is Oct 24 (5pm).
- 10/10: Lecture notes
(hard copy) of entire week 10 lectures will be distributed just before the
lecture (on Monday). Any remaining copies after distribution will be made
available via help desk.
- 10/10: Any queries or
review requests regarding project A marks!? Please see the results page for the details.

- 8/10: You must use this cover page when submitting the hardcopy of your
design for project B. Failing to do so or not providing all the required
information may incur up to 2 penalty marks.

- 1/10: Raj Buyya is on
travel to Europe until Oct 9, kindly direct all
technical questions related to project implementation to the newsgroup
(cs.254). Questions related to submission and marking to Saeed Araban, our
subject Head Tutor. Note: Oct 8 lecture will be given by another lecturer(Dr.Shanika).
- 23/9: Updated version of Project B (version 1.0)
spec addressing comments/issues raised so far has been released. I don't
expect any changes to the spec., please start working on it.
- 23/9: Project B FAQ captured via
newsgroup discussions.
- 19/9: Clarification
statements have been added based on students feedback on newsgroup so far.
- 18/9: Project B Draft Spec is released. Pls
send your comments to newsgroup.
- Source of
Java programs used in Teaching are released.
- 16/9: Please use this cover page for your hardcopy class diagram
submissions. Note: If you’ve already submitted your diagrams, you don’t
need to resubmit (as long as your login name, student number and name are
provided).
- 16/9: Due to “queeg” crash
last night, projectA’s deadline has been extended till 5pm,
17/9/03. (Note:
Already granted extensions for medical or other reasons will not be
affected by this extension).
- 15/9: A final typo (use
PRODUCTS_REPORT instead of PRODUCT_REPORT) in expected output has been
fixed. see FAQ.
- Please direct all project
submission related problems (including late submissions for any reason) to
our Head tutor since he is manging it.
- 12/9: ProjA Testcases and Expected Output -
released.
- 12/9: Views/Expectations of Different Students on
Project/Spec/Subject - A must read by those whon't read cs.254

- 10/9: Clarification on
Output has been added to the FAQ. Please follow "Input/Output
Requirements" strickly and see FAQ for any specific clarifications.
Post all questions to the newsgroup.
- 10/9: No extension will be
granted (unless medical certificate (MC) issued by doctor is produced.
Please submit your MC to Saeed Arabad (Head Tutor) and he will give you
extension)). All other Late submissions of Project A will be penalized at
1 mark per day late.

periodically as this will be regularly based on newsgroup discussion.
- 21/8: A project spec has
been updated with minor clarifications (on page 5 and 6) based on students
questions.
- 29/8: Project A Specification has been
released.
- 27/8: Good news: For 254,
on your lecturer's request the print quota limit bas been raised by 25
pages.
- 17/8: The complete Lecture Plan along with chapter number has
been released.
